OUR CHALLENGE

BWC’s business is in aluminium extrusion – in short, ‘ugly freight’. Our product is heavy, comes in awkward shapes and sizes, and its transportation and storage are subject to numerous regulations. When I created BWC back in 1999, I knew I’d need to work with a company that offered more than your typical haulier.
Our business is utterly service-oriented, and time critical, and we needed more than delivery of freight, also seeking a collection service, warehousing, and stock control facility. We required a complete end-to-end service and a logistics provider with a pragmatic approach… you could say ‘joined up thinking’!

WHY SANDERSON?

From day one, I knew which haulier I wanted on board as part of the operation. I’d spent ten years working in partnership with Sanderson Transport with a previous employer and built a relationship of trust over the years. Their approach is straightforward and people-oriented, and most importantly they understand our imperatives, and share our values. They are small enough to provide the reassuring personal service we want but have the breadth of capability to handle all our multi-dimensional needs, and therefore drive efficiencies.

Sanderson’s investment in their drivers, the latest equipment, vehicles and systems makes our lives easier. They’re on top of the latest legislation and health & safety requirements. The new warehousing stock management system has enhanced controls to accurately manage our data and goods, providing a seamless, exemplary operation. But most importantly for us, it’s about the people. The office and warehousing staff are proactive, efficient and honest, and communication is spot on. The Sanderson driver is the final point in the BWC process – they leave the lasting impression, and Sanderson drivers do us proud. We know them all, and we not only trust them to get the job done but to do it with care, safeguarding our reputation.
