The Client

BSH is part of the Bosch group and is home to well-known household appliance brands such as Siemens, Bosch and Neff. As Europe’s largest manufacturer of home appliances, they pride themselves on a long-standing reputation for ‘outstanding products and exceptional brands.’ Their state-of-the-art distribution centre is located in Corby, close to Sanderson’s transport HQ.

Our relationship dates back to 2014, when we began supporting the distribution of small, high quality electrical products for BSH. These were the goods BSH describes as “at the special end of our outbound activity”; the ad hoc pallets which require a bespoke service. Today, we handle BSH’s distribution to the UK-wide Amazon network, handling part loads, full loads and groupage. It requires precision, speed and most importantly – keeping our promises so that BSH can keep theirs.

The challenge

In 2020, BSH came to us with a challenge. They were struggling to find a reliable distribution partner to support efficient, on-time transportation of high quality domestic electrical appliances to the Amazon network of fulfilment centres. Meeting heavy non-compliance penalties from Amazon, the imperatives of profitability and brand reputation were being compromised, and for a company like BSH, they needed to find a solution and a partner they could trust to uphold their incredibly high standards.

The solution

Through our membership of the Palletline network, Sanderson Transport is part of Amazon’s Preferred Carrier Programme. As a member of the only UK pallet network that meets the necessary criteria, we can ensure on-time, in-full delivery of consolidated freight to Amazon’s 22 fulfilment centres across the UK. The service helps vendors avoid punitive fines, cutting through red tape, maximising cost efficiency and protecting brand reputation.

Palletline has access to Amazon’s CARP system, meaning we can manage the process from point of order to point of arrival at the fulfilment centre. Palletline’s ‘Amazon Intensive Care Programme’ issues detailed progress reports on a daily basis, supporting stock control and helping suppliers streamline their operations.
