Sanderson and IVC make a promising partnership

Sanderson and IVC (then Moduleo) first met in 2015, when the Belgian-based flooring giant began establishing itself within the UK marketplace. Now, as one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of flooring solutions for the global project market, IVC rely on Sanderson to support their UK-wide distribution operation.

Author and entrepreneur Seth Godin famously said “making promises and keeping them is a great way to build a brand”

Sanderson’s approach to understanding their clients’ needs and developing bespoke solutions has supported IVC in keeping their customer promise with a faster, more reliable and cost-efficient service.

By working as a true partnership, we’ve become an extension of IVC’s team. Our businesses are linked together through an EDI system which makes day-to-day activities easier and admin-free, meaning greater all-round efficiency and accuracy.

Regular monthly reviews offer a chance to monitor KPIs and ensure we respond to new offerings and changes within a fast-paced environment. And by harnessing the power of Sanderson’s groupage offering and the Palletline network, we have helped develop a robust solution to distribute direct from Belgium, bypassing IVC’s UK distribution centre. ETA updates ensure IVC’s customers benefit from up-to-the-minute information, and our ‘Accommodating Attitude’ policy ensures our drivers offer the flexibility to deliver to high street retailers.

“In our business you are only as good as the service you provide. Sanderson Transport is an extension of our team and commit to our company values. Our customer feedback confirms this.”

Louise Cartwright, UK Sales Support Manager at IVC

This partnership approach, combined with a drive to stay ahead of change, means that Sanderson can keep improving on service levels for IVC. A new Parcel Operation will provide a speedy and regular ‘man and a van’ solution to retail customers all over the UK, offering a faster transit time for smaller goods, handling returns and delivering PoS materials. We can support a more personalised brand experience too, by introducing IVC-uniformed drivers and branded vans.

Commercial Director, Ed Sanderson comments: “We enjoy working with aspirational brands (and even more so aspirational people!), and IVC is absolutely one of them. The proactive ‘get things done and get things right’ attitude is a mutual commitment that is echoed throughout both businesses, which is why our partnership has continued to flourish.”,
