We didn’t think our best ever year could get even better. Building on our success as the UK Motor Transport Haulier of the Year, Stephen Sanderson Transport is proud to announce a new partnership with Ducati motorbikes.
Our relationship with the legendary Italian manufacturer began through our collaboration with DSV Solutions UK, who welcomed us into the marketplace. This, in turn, has led to a contract with Ducati UK, handling its total UK dealer distribution. This year we’ll be managing the warehousing, logistics and delivery of 4,000 motorbikes through our network of distribution depots.
Our specialist capability in the form of our 50-strong fleet of truck mounted Moffett forklifts is central to meeting Ducati’s needs, ensuring careful handling of each valuable bike, and providing the versatility required for precise delivery into varied dealership sites across the country. Our Commercial Director Ed Sanderson comments:

We’ve worked with Ducati to develop logistics for on-demand delivery of every bike in response to individual dealer call-off. This means we receive the imports from Italy, sort, manage and then book in the relevant detail with each dealership before onward distribution of each bike, as and when sales demand, using our online pre-notification system.
In addition to managing the inter-dealership movement of bikes, Ducati has consulted us on Brexit contingency planning. In the spirit of a well-known biker saying, “When life throws you a curve, lean into it”, Sanderson have removed the threat of supply chain delay by establishing a plan that can be facilitated at the drop of a hat.
